It is committed to releasing its solutions within the scope of&nbsp;<strong>digital healthcare<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>smart digital innovation<\/strong>, software platforms, digital twin systems,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.antaresvision.com\/solutions\/track-trace\/2531\/pharmaceutical-track-trace\" target=\"_blank\">traceability and serialization technologies,<\/a>&nbsp;origin and certification of drugs and products,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.antaresvision.com\/solutions\/inspection\/2547\/pharmaceutical-inspection\" target=\"_blank\">quality inspection with computer vision<\/a>, and the Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and data analysis, and by leveraging&nbsp;<strong>Artificial Intelligence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centre, funded for \u20ac 400 million by the European Union under its NextGenerationEU program and boasting prominence in research and development for gene therapy and RNA-based pharmaceuticals, has&nbsp;<strong>two primary goals<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>boosting the technological know-how necessary to design and provide&nbsp;<strong>RNA-based drugs<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and&nbsp;<strong>developing gene therapy further.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>It will also work to<strong>&nbsp;identify promising drugs and candidate genes in five major disease areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>genetic diseases,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cancer,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>metabolic-cardiovascular disorders,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>neurodegenerative ailments,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and inflammatory-infectious pathologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once at its full capacity, the Centre is expected to reach a&nbsp;<strong>yearly production output of up to 250-300 gene therapy-based drugs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antares Vision Group will be the executing body where equipment is located, and research activities (under the name&nbsp;<strong>Spoke<\/strong>) are carried out. It will work jointly with the Italian Institute of Technology, several outstanding hospitals, and numerous universities throughout Italy, including the University of Brescia, on behalf of the Centre for RNA Medicine. The Group will be involved in two platforms: the&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;RNA\/DNA delivery platform&#8221;<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;From target to therapy: a center of pharmacological, safety and regulatory expertise.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;THE PLATFORMS:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The &#8220;RNA\/DNA delivery platform&#8221;<\/strong>&nbsp;will&nbsp;<strong>develop new materials<\/strong>&nbsp;(polymers and lipids), nano-platforms, surface viral delivery systems, extracellular vesicles, and microneedles&nbsp;<strong>for a new generation of drug administration technologies.<\/strong>&nbsp;Furthermore, it will rapidly disseminate therapeutic concepts through an unprecedented interdisciplinary effort that merges chemistry, nanotechnology, and pharmaceutical technologies, as well as imaging and microscopy, bioengineering, molecular biology, and pharmacology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The &#8220;From target to therapy: a center of pharmacological, safety and regulatory expertise&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong>platform aims to&nbsp;<strong>develop<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>preclinical tools&nbsp;<\/strong>and cutting-edge<strong>&nbsp;methods to study the effects of RNA-based pharmaceuticals on the innate and adaptive immune systems<\/strong>.
