The customer:
Sanofi Lüleburgaz pharma manufacturing plant is located in the European part of Turkey, 150 km from the border between Istanbul and Bulgaria. It has 28 packaging lines and employs 878 people. Sanofi Lüleburgaz’s product range covers solid, liquid, semi-solid, injectable liquid, cephalosporin, and penicillin forms. In 2019, production figures were as follows: Total: 327 Mio Boxes, app. 10 % of total production belongs to Export markets: Europe, Russia, Latin America, Middle East-Africa, Japan.
The challenge:
To implement Phase II of Track & Trace, the Sanofi Global Project Team decided to look for a global partner for the Sanofi Group in relation to aggregated solutions, thus starting from “Turkey Phase II” – the worldwide first experience.
What were the key points of this Track & Trace project?
Sanofi needed a partner with status-of-the-art solutions, flexible in implementing customizations, and with a robust QA system. The capacity to integrate with the existing serialization solution and the availability to comply with all Sanofi guidelines, including matching the recommended peripherals, were very important points.
