Label Inspection for cylindrical containers – IE4000 PLUS
IE4000 PLUS is the evolution of the IE4000 model, which boasts numerous installations at the major manufacturers in the beverage sector.
The system inspects labels of any type (front/back, wraparound, sleeve and collar, opaque and partially transparent) present on non-oriented round-based containers.
The vision system is composed of four cameras placed at the four corners of the inspection chamber, which acquire as many images. Leveraging artificial intelligence, the vision PC autonomously identifies the bottle and automatically reconstructs a 3D model of it. The software positions the acquired images of the labels on the model and then virtually unrolls it on a plane, correcting distortions due to the curvature of the surfaces. This 360° inspection technology allows you to obtain an extreme level of precision and identify even the smallest defects, even in the most complex areas to inspect.
The inspection range covers every type of need: presence, positioning, integrity of the label, as well as the possibility of reading codes with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology. The “emboss detection” option is also available, which, thanks to AI, is able to identify any embosses and therefore makes it possible to verify the alignment between this and the labels.
IE4000 PLUS guarantees that every single circular-based product is presented exactly as expected and monitors the performance of the labeler and the capper, alerting in case of drifts before generating waste. Operator interventions are reduced to a minimum thanks to quick set-ups and format changes simplified by the use of artificial intelligence.
This upgrade of the IE4000 model is also extremely compact: HMI and Vision PC are integrated into the inspection module, thus creating a monobloc with incredibly compact dimensions.
