Inspection solution for in-line leak detection by measuring the total headspace pressure of each individual closed beer bottle.

The system is located immediately after the pasteurization phase to intercept any leaks due to incorrect closure of the cap or defects (for example small breaks) in the thread neck.

The inspection is based on laser spectroscopy, which uses a particular physical property of specific molecules in the gaseous state, that is the ability to absorb light only at particular wavelengths.

It is therefore a direct inspection, more accurate and versatile than acoustic technologies: it can in fact be used in the presence of any type of cap and with bottles of any material; furthermore, performance is not influenced by external factors, such as small variations in the positioning of the bottle, slight variations in the caps or the conveyor belt. Not only that: the solution also monitors the average pressure level of the entire production in real time, optimizing its quality.

The system provides a quick visualization of production trends and enables the identification of causes of faults, such as highlighting repeated defects at each cycle of the filler/capper and pinpointing the capping head for intervention.
