Seam Inspection

Antares Vision Group’s Seam Inspection System is a compact and high-performance solution designed to inspect the bottom seam of 3-piece infant formula cans.

It ensures the highest standards of safety and quality for products intended for children, detecting a wide range of seam defects that could compromise product integrity, consumer trust, and brand reputation.

Thanks to its flexible installation options, the system can be positioned before filling (open cans) or after closing (sealed cans), helping manufacturers reduce waste, prevent complaints, and optimize operational efficiency.

Each defect is identified through real-time image processing, ensuring immediate rejection of faulty units and full compliance with quality standards.

The Seam Inspection System integrates six high-resolution cameras positioned to capture light reflections from multiple angles, enabling complete 360° coverage of the bottom seam. A dedicated LED lighting system, shielded from ambient light, ensures consistent inspection conditions.

The embedded Vision PC processes all image acquisitions in real time. Any discontinuity in the light pattern is automatically flagged as a defect, ensuring that only flawless cans will reach the shelf.
