ANTARES VISION GROUP PRESENTS AI-GO, THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE THAT IS REVOLUTIONIZING VISUAL INSPECTION CONTROLS
A real response to the growing demand for faster, more accurate and more adaptable processes, to improve quality, efficiency and competitiveness in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors
Artificial Intelligence is providing new prospects in industrial visual inspection. Antares Vision Group, Italian multinational, leading provider in Track & Trace systems and quality control, which guarantee product safety and supply chain transparency through integrated data management, and Oròbix, the AI Service Company which is part of the Antares Vision Group, present AI-GO, the Artificial Intelligence Platform that introduces a technology able to transform quality control in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.
With a superior analysis capacity compared to traditional systems, AI-GO enables complex anomalies to be identified, such as chromatic impurities, glass fragments, cosmetic defects or foreign bodies. This innovative approach leads to a drastic fall in false scrap and a measurable increase in the quality of production processes. In fact, AI-GO was developed to meet the growing need to make inspection processes faster, more accurate and more adaptable. The platform is able to create classification, segmentation and optical character recognition (OCR) models in a short timeframe, starting from a limited number of examples and without the need for specialist skills. The integration with deep learning technologies enables the models to be dynamically adapted to different formats and products, contributing to reducing set-up time and improving the flexibility and operating efficiency of production lines.
With AI-GO, Antares Vision Group proposes a system able to understand, adapt itself and continuously improve, laying the foundations for more intelligent, resilient and sustainable manufacturing. The objective is to guide companies in the evolution towards advanced production models, where quality is increasingly the result of objective data, predictive analyses and digital process management.
“Today, artificial intelligence has become a fundamental strategic lever for industrial competitiveness: integrated in a secure, transparent and validatable way, it enables us to offer our customers better performing inspection machines, able to improve product quality, reduce scrap and increase production efficiency”, emphasises Gianluca Mazzantini, CEO of Antares Vision Group.
“AI applied to visual inspection represents a turning point for the manufacturing industry – adds Pietro Rota, CEO of Oròbix. With solutions like AI-GO, we are bringing an intelligence to production processes able to understand real data and dynamically adapt itself to the variability frequently seen in production. In Oròbix, we are working tirelessly to make AI a real ally of quality and of industrial production”
AI-GO’s structure entails two integrated components: AI-GO Studio, a cloud environment to gather images and train the models, and AI-GO Runtime, an edge module, which enables the autonomous execution of the models directly on production lines, even offline. This framework guarantees operating robustness and easy implementation, even in complex industrial contexts.
The world of artificial intelligence is developing rapidly and the revolution of Generative AI is clear proof of this. AI-GO is also looking ahead, towards the integration of Vision Language Models, which represent the next game-changer in industrial visual inspection.
With this development, AI-GO’s user experience will become even more seamless, confirming its role not only as cutting-edge technology, but as a real operating ally for the quality and competitiveness of the industry.
“Vision Language Models are innovative models that combine the understanding of images and language, enables complex tasks to be performed through simple instructions in natural language – explains Luca Antiga, CTO of Oròbix. We are working to render AI-GO increasingly intuitive and powerful: the native integration of VLMs will enable quality controls to be set up faster and in a more accessible way, even without technical skills”.
As a reminder, Antares Vision Group’s Glass Vial Inspection System – VRI was recently selected as one of the finalists for Inspect Award 2025, in the Artificial Intelligence category. An award given by an international magazine (Inspect), which annually recognizes the most innovative solutions for industrial automation and machine vision.
