ANTARES VISION GROUP TECHNOLOGY FOR FUMAGALLI SALUMI: 75% REDUCTION IN CLAIMS AND BETTER SAFETY
Just a few weeks from the implementation, the Brianza-based company obtained positive results thanks to the new ALL-IN-ONE solution, which guarantees the detection of micro-holes and foreign bodies and the correct weight on the production line.

(EXM, AV:IM), Italian multinational, leading provider in Track & Trace systems and quality control, which guarantee the transparency of products and supply chains through integrated data management, is pleased to announce the continuation of the partnership with Fumagalli Salumi Industria Alimentari, a historic Brianza-based company that specialises in the production of cured meats, with a directly-owned supply chain system, and an award-winning model of excellence in animal welfare.
Its strong commitment to innovation, which has always characterised Fumagalli Salumi’s business, has led the company to identify solutions to guarantee its consumers an increasingly high level of product safety and an extended shelf life. These objectives have been achieved thanks to the implementation of new solutions, in particular the “ALL-IN-ONE” system by Antares Vision Group, which has resulted in a significant improvement in production processes and a 75% reduction in claims after only three months of operation.
ALL-IN-ONE is an innovative system that enables a variety of quality control inspections to be performed by a single machine. The personalised configuration for Fumagalli Salumi includes technology to detect micro-holes on the production line, X-ray technology to identify foreign bodies and a checkweigher. The detection of micro-holes on the production line is particularly important for the company, as the fats that are naturally present in the cured meats often lodge in the sealant area of the package, causing micro-holes in the same, and consequently lead to the fast deterioration of the product.
