FUTURE TRENDS, GLOBAL SCENARIOS, AND INDUSTRIAL SYNERGIES: RECORD NUMBERS FOR THE 2025 EDITION OF ANTARES VISION’S “USER GROUP”
The future of traceability and digitalization in the Life Science and Cosmetics industries takes center stage
Antares Vision Group, an Italian multinational that ensures product safety and supply chain transparency through integrated data management, has hosted the 13th edition of its User Group Meeting, the annual event dedicated to bringing together the company and its partners, customers, and stakeholders, with the aim of stimulating innovation and continuous improvement through the sharing of experiences and best practices.
The 2025 edition set new records for both attendance and the number of represented companies, reaffirming Antares Vision Group’s increasingly central role on the international stage as a benchmark for innovation, end-to-end traceability, and process digitalization across the entire supply chain. The growing interest and engagement confirm the strength of a forward-looking strategy built on technology, sustainability, and the creation of shared value. The User Group, in particular, once again reaffirmed its international relevance and its role as a community where clients and partners come together to exchange ideas and create shared value — also thanks to the qualified contributions of external participants. This was the case this year with the participation of Marcello Matarrelli, General Manager of NMVO (National Medicines Verification Organization) Italy, and Giada Necci of GS1 Italy. Matarrelli updated attendees on Italy’s progress in aligning with new regulations, confirming the February 2027 deadline for the adoption of the FMD (Falsified Medicines Directive) and urging all stakeholders to update their production lines and software accordingly. Necci presented an overview of the international landscape and the global progress of pharmaceutical serialization, noting that some markets—particularly in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa—are only now beginning to implement regulations. The session also explored the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and the Sunrise 2027 deadline, with a focus on new standards for 2D barcodes, QR codes, and digital links.
“We’ve come a long way since the first edition of the User Group, and Antares Vision continues to prove itself a reliable partner capable of delivering outstanding solutions and supporting clients in their journey toward sustainable growth. Crane NXT has chosen to invest in us to further strengthen our areas of excellence, technologies applied to the products we use every day, to ensure authenticity, safety, quality, and sustainability. Our missions are perfectly aligned, and innovation will, as always, remain at the heart of our Group’s future development,” said Emidio Zorzella, Chairman of Antares Vision Group.
Zorzella then handed the floor to Fabio Forestelli, newly appointed CEO of Antares Vision Group: “It’s an honor and a privilege to celebrate the beginning of this exciting new chapter in front of colleagues, clients, and partners. I first met Emidio Zorzella and Massimo Bonardi in the early 2000s—my business partner, Ferdinando Tuberti, and I were active in the beverage industry, while they were in pharmaceuticals. In 2019, when our paths came together, a team was formed around shared vision and values. Since then, we’ve been committed to bringing our technologies to markets around the world, ensuring product safety for consumers and supply chain transparency for industry operators. This is just the beginning, and I’m thrilled to continue this journey with all of you.”
