INNOVATION AND TRACEABILITY SERVING DRUG SAFETY: ANTARES VISION GROUP AND SATO AT THE 46TH SIFO NATIONAL CONGRES
The two companies will present digital and automated solutions to optimize the management of medicines and medical devices, to ensure safety throughout the entire hospital supply chain
Antares Vision Group – the Italian multinational leader in traceability and quality inspection that ensures product safety and supply chain transparency through integrated data management – and SATO (a global company specializing in automatic identification solutions) will be participating in the 46th National Congress of SIFO (Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services of Healthcare Companies). The event will take place in Genoa, at the Porto Antico Congress Centre, from 6 to 9 November. It will provide an important opportunity for institutions, healthcare professionals and businesses to discuss innovation, safety and the digitalization of processes in the pharmaceutical and hospital sectors.
During the Congress, at stand no. 62, Antares Vision Group will present its solutions for the digital management of the entire logistics cycle of drugs and medical devices, from entry into the hospital to the patient’s bedside. The Medication Management Platform (MMP) and the revolutionary Robotized Trolley 5.0 integrate automation and traceability to optimize hospital logistics, ensure safe administration, eliminate errors and waste, and reduce the workload of healthcare personnel.
“An in-depth study, conducted in collaboration with several leading hospitals, has revealed that healthcare professionals are still spending over a quarter of their time on purely logistical activities, which results in a reduction of time that could be dedicated to patient care. We are committed to developing solutions that can eliminate this waste of time, thereby making work easier and more satisfying for our clients, as well as safer and less stressful. We look forward to showcasing the Robotized Trolley 5.0 and the MMP platform at our stand. These products represent a revolutionary technological leap forward,” says Adriano Fusco, Digital Healthcare Dept. Director of Antares Vision Group.
Among the most innovative technologies offered by SATO for the healthcare sector is PJM, a high-frequency (13.56 MHz) RFID solution designed to optimize logistics processes involving the handling of numerous small, high-value items. PJM technology is a notable solution in this regard due to its ability to provide accurate readings in a variety of conditions, including the presence of liquids and metals that typically impede radio signal transmission. SATO offers a comprehensive range of PJM components, including tags and printers, reading tunnels and desktop readers.
The company will be presenting two innovative solutions designed for the healthcare environment. The SATO CT4-LX-HC smart printer has been designed with an antimicrobial surface resistant to disinfectants and a touch display that can also be used with gloves. This printer allows you to print and encode PJM RFID tags on demand, ensuring speed and accuracy. Simultaneously, the Compact Antenna Solution (CAS) system facilitates straightforward and instant retrofitting. It integrates an antenna directly into the shelves and an externally installed reader, enabling existing shelving and refrigerators to be converted into smart PJM readers without compromising storage space or requiring the replacement of existing equipment. This combination of technologies optimizes automatic traceability, simplifying the daily management of medicines and medical devices and increasing safety for both healthcare professionals and patients.
“Participating in this event with Antares Vision represents a significant opportunity to demonstrate how the union of two excellent companies can generate cutting-edge solutions for tracking medicines and medical devices. By working together, we can streamline the daily management of materials and enhance the safety of operators and patients,’ says Pierpaolo Rossi, European Business Development Manager Healthcare at SATO Italia.
