The customer:
Ferring Pharmaceuticals is a private company headquartered in Switzerland. It is a leader in reproductive medicine, maternal health, and specialty areas within gastroenterology and urology. Ferring Pharmaceuticals distributes its products in 110 countries, has 12 R&D centers, and has 13 factories worldwide.
Collaboration with Antares Vision Group started in 2015. Today, the track & trace compliance solution is implemented on 23 lines across Ferring packaging sites located in Switzerland, the USA, China, the Czech Republic, Israel, Scotland, and Indonesia.
The challenge:
Ferring needed to achieve a higher level of efficiency during the regular maintenance and upgrade of the track & trace solution on two specific aspects:
- The availability of spare parts to keep hardware up and running;
- The implementation of new software releases in terms of testing and qualification.
